Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and deploy redundant, resilient, scalable, self-sustaining, and self-healing AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Design, build, and maintain Kubernetes clusters, namespaces, and deployments in production environments.
- Develop infrastructure as code and automation using tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
- Design and manage CI/CD pipelines and workflows using Jenkins, CircleCI, GitLab, or similar tools.
- Configure and operate containerized environments using Docker and related technologies.
- Support infrastructure monitoring, logging, alerting, troubleshooting, and operational improvements.
- Work directly with customers and stakeholders to gather requirements and communicate features and enhancements.
- Implement and maintain compliance, security, networking, VPN, DNS, load-balancing, and firewall practices in operational infrastructure.
- Train and mentor junior DevOps engineers and new team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of professional DevOps engineering experience.
- At least 4 years of experience using CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, CircleCI, or GitLab.
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud architecture, infrastructure as code, Kubernetes or other container orchestration tools, configuration management, and containers.
- Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation or CDK, Kubernetes/EKS or ECS, Rancher, Puppet or Ansible, and Docker or Docker Compose.
- Scripting experience with Bash, Python, Ruby, Go, or JavaScript.
- Extensive experience designing, deploying, and managing production Kubernetes clusters and Docker environments.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Grafana, and the ELK stack.
- Strong knowledge of IP networking, VPNs, DNS, load balancing, firewalls, and secure cloud-native infrastructure.
- Effective English communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a project team with limited supervision.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or Professional, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional, or Certified Kubernetes Administrator certification is preferred.
