Responsibilities
- Define and implement the vision for a world-class internal cloud.
- Maintain and update the technical design roadmap for SREs.
- Collaborate with cloud-ops software development teams on requirements and prioritization.
- Advise IS management on technology, reliability, and business cases.
- Lead technical choices for self-service product solutions.
- Set best practices for product and operations security.
- Automate operations for large-scale reuse across distributed systems.
- Design service architecture, documentation, and operational procedures.
- Analyze incidents to identify structural improvements.
Requirements
- Exceptional academic track record from high school and university.
- Undergraduate degree in a technical subject or a compelling alternative narrative.
- Confidence to share ideas and provide feedback.
- Track record of exceeding expectations to achieve results.
- Extensive knowledge of cloud computing concepts and technologies.
- Practical knowledge of Linux networking and large-scale networking.
- Experience with production outages and incident response.
- Passion for writing and maintaining open-source software solutions.
- Clear and effective communication skills in English.
- Familiarity and passion for open-source, especially Ubuntu or Debian.
