Base Salary

$115k - $235k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Lead development and begin architecting components of scalable, elastic distributed systems.
  • Define scalability requirements and optimize code and data paths for high-throughput, hyperscale workloads.
  • Design fault-tolerant, in-service-upgradable systems using redundancy, replication, failover, partition policies, load shedding, throttling, and rate limiting.
  • Establish KPIs, telemetry, dashboards, alerts, fault-injection and brownout validation, replication, and synchronization mechanisms.
  • Diagnose and resolve production issues, ensure operational readiness, and support operational excellence in a Cloud DevOps environment.
  • Develop security controls, remediate issues, maintain compliance documentation, and create infrastructure automation for patching, updates, and rollbacks.
  • Scope, architect, specify, develop, review, document, and test software features using source control and standard development practices.
  • Collaborate with distributed and cross-functional teams, communicate project status and risks, and support milestone delivery.
  • Mentor peers and participate in technical decision-making and discussions.

Requirements

  • Proficiency with C/C++.
  • Scripting proficiency in Python, Perl, or Bash.
  • Hands-on experience developing multi-threaded embedded Linux applications or infrastructure.
  • Experience with network or storage stacks and protocols such as P4, DOCA, TCP/IP, NVMe, PCIe, or DPDK.
  • Firmware development and embedded systems experience.
  • Knowledge of Intel, AMD, or ARM computer architectures.
  • Hardware or system bring-up experience.
  • Experience with Linux kernel or driver programming and proficiency with Linux.
  • Proficiency with virtualization technologies such as SR-IOV, VirtIO, or vDPA.
  • Experience in CI/CD environments.
  • Comfort working with remote lab equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, troubleshooting, collaboration, communication, prioritization, self-management, and technical decision-making skills.
