Responsibilities
- Scale Amplemarket’s core cloud platform for high availability and performance.
- Detect infrastructure blind spots and add observability to mitigate them.
- Collaborate with product engineers on reliable rollouts of new features.
- Review code and proposals and participate in architectural discussions.
- Build reproducible automations for urgent infrastructure needs.
- Develop solutions that save internal teams time when moving code to production.
- Monitor potential security threats and patches with a security-first mindset.
- Participate in continuous improvements to development processes and workflows.
Requirements
- Experience designing and maintaining complex, large, or growing systems.
- Ability to evaluate edge cases, failure modes, bottlenecks, migrations, releases, and system metrics when reviewing designs or code.
- Strong debugging skills and the ability to identify root causes of production issues.
- Proactive approach to fixing broken systems and suggesting improvements.
- Strong focus on observability and ensuring systems have sufficient metrics.
- Must be based between the GMT-3 and GMT+2 time zones.
