Base Salary
$142k - $213k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize high-performance, low-latency microservices and applications for the electronic trading platform.
- Implement complex trading logic, performance enhancements, and system improvements for stable, scalable, and efficient execution systems.
- Lead technical design discussions and conduct rigorous code reviews.
- Partner with product development, quantitative research, and technology teams to deliver trading capabilities.
- Improve testing frameworks, development tools, and deployment processes for low-latency systems.
- Analyze complex business and technical requirements and resolve challenging system issues.
- Apply expertise in system architecture, data flow, coding, testing, debugging, and implementation.
- Build and maintain monitoring, trade reconciliation, and application recovery solutions.
- Manage technology and control risks in compliance with applicable laws, policies, and regulations.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on software development experience focused on high-performance, low-latency systems.
- Expert Core Java knowledge, including JVM internals, concurrency, garbage collection, and memory management.
- Experience designing and developing automated trading systems or electronic execution platforms in equities or related financial domains.
- Understanding of financial market protocols such as FIX and experience with order and market datasets.
- Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems.
- Experience with modern testing frameworks, Agile methodologies, and CI/CD processes.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain and understand complex technical and business concepts.
- Familiarity with Solace, AMPS, Chronicle, and Ansible is preferred.
- Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent experience; master’s degree preferred.
