Responsibilities
- Lead key initiatives to improve internal usage of Datadog by designing governance and security tools.
- Build and maintain internal platforms that facilitate best practices.
- Automate setup, monitoring, and policy enforcement for new internal organizations.
- Align identity and access practices with Datadog’s IAM principles.
- Collaborate with teams to design solutions that meet customer needs.
- Participate in the team's on-call rotation to uphold operational excellence.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a software engineer working on production systems at scale.
- Experience with observability platforms or telemetry pipelines in cloud-native environments.
- Proficient in writing clean, maintainable code, ideally in Go or Python.
- Ability to solve complex problems while balancing technical trade-offs.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Experience leading initiatives with broad impact across engineering teams.
- Comfortable integrating AI-driven solutions into platform systems.
