Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust, efficient, production-ready algorithms for robotic grasping and manipulation.
- Research and apply advances in robotics to practical industrial problems.
- Translate partner requirements into highly reliable technical outcomes.
- Own the architecture and long-term strategy for robotic interaction with the physical world.
- Integrate and validate high-availability software in complex, real-world manufacturing applications.
- Mentor junior engineers, contribute to the strategic roadmap, and drive the evolution of the robotics software stack for global deployment.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Robotics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in robotics.
- 3+ years of professional experience in robotic grasp planning.
- 2 years leading substantial, ambiguous technical projects from inception to deployment.
- 6 years of professional experience programming robotics software in C++ and Python.
- Strong knowledge of linear algebra, spatial transformations, and rigid body dynamics.
- Experience applying machine learning in robotics.
- Preferred: PhD in Robotics and Machine Learning, Reinforcement Learning, or a related field focused on robotic manipulation, grasp planning, or motion planning.
- Preferred: Deep expertise with JAX, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
- Preferred: Experience developing the full robotics stack, including kinematics, motion generation, system integration, and testing.
