Responsibilities
- Lead Appian technical solutioning for federal RFIs, RFPs, oral presentations, technical volumes, demonstrations, proofs of concept, and proofs of value.
- Shape early-stage customer conversations by identifying needs, framing solution options, assessing business value, and developing technical approaches.
- Own and maintain the Appian practice demo, proof-of-value, and sandbox backlog and develop reusable proposal, demo, and solution assets.
- Build, guide, and deliver tailored Appian demonstrations aligned with client missions, pain points, and procurement requirements.
- Partner with capture, business development, pricing, and delivery teams on technical approaches, staffing models, level-of-effort estimates, delivery assumptions, and transition plans.
- Support Appian licensing, reseller, and pricing strategy discussions with ICF leadership and Appian account teams.
- Provide senior architecture guidance, solution reviews, delivery risk assessments, and implementation support to delivery programs.
- Mature Appian practice standards, reusable solution patterns, accelerators, playbooks, proposal artifacts, and delivery governance frameworks.
- Collaborate with Appian partner teams on account priorities, product direction, co-sell opportunities, and go-to-market motions.
- Provide broader alliance and solution architecture support where Appian intersects with modernization, automation, AI, data, case management, and workflow strategies.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of technology leadership experience supporting major modernization, integration, workflow automation, case management, or platform-based application programs.
- At least 5 years serving as a technical lead, solution architect, or senior architect on programs leveraging Appian.
- At least 5 years leading Appian technical solutioning for pre-sales, capture, proposal, and client-shaping efforts.
- At least 5 years of Appian solution architecture experience covering process models, records, data models, integrations, security, interfaces, deployment patterns, and enterprise delivery considerations.
- At least 5 years developing or guiding Appian demonstrations, proofs of concept, proofs of value, prototypes, or reusable solution accelerators.
- At least 5 years supporting federal clients, federal capture efforts, or federal proposal environments.
- Demonstrated ability to translate business and mission requirements into compelling Appian-based technical solutions.
- U.S. citizenship is required, along with eligibility to obtain and maintain federal public trust or clearance suitability as required by client engagements.
- Appian Lead Developer certification is strongly preferred; Appian Senior Developer, Solution Architect, or equivalent advanced Appian experience is preferred.
- Preferred experience includes pre-sales, solution consulting, capture solution architecture, growth-focused technical leadership, oral presentations, color team reviews, solution reviews, technical volumes, and pricing or BOE assumptions.
- Preferred experience includes Appian licensing, reseller motions, partner sales strategy, federal modernization, reusable practice assets, demo environments, technical playbooks, and delivery governance frameworks.
- Strong executive communication skills and the ability to facilitate workshops and explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences are preferred.

- Full-time employment with a stated pay range of $144,381.00-$245,448.00.
- East Coast location preferred, with periodic travel to the Washington, DC area, ICF offices, client sites, Appian offices, and partner events.
