Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of 10–15 software professionals.
- Optimize cloud diagnostics ingestion to support larger and higher-volume data payloads.
- Improve relational database ingestion speed and scalability.
- Design and build user interfaces for thousands of Ford engineers.
- Design and build performant APIs used by more than 100 Ford teams.
- Expand data-enhancement capabilities including stack trace generation, automatic Jira creation, and bulk log search.
- Build governance capabilities for responsible use of Ford customer diagnostics data.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
- At least 8 years of software development experience, preferably with Java, C#, or similar technologies.
- At least 4 years of experience working with relational databases such as SQL Server.
- At least 4 years of front-end development experience with JavaScript, HTML, or similar technologies.
- Preferred experience with Spring Boot and Java microservices.
- Preferred familiarity with ELK, particularly Elasticsearch and Logstash.
- Preferred experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker, and similar technologies.
- Preferred hands-on experience with GCP, Azure, and AWS.
- Preferred embedded development experience or familiarity with GDB.
- Preferred Python skills.
