Responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities to adopt new technologies that address existing needs and anticipate future challenges.
  • Develop software applications as part of a Scrum team.
  • Learn technical skills, write code, conduct code reviews, and perform testing.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Senior Engineers, and Application Architects to conceptualize products and prioritize features.
  • Contribute to design work such as user experience or graphic design.
  • Participate in social activities, charity days, and projects with other apprentices, interns, and graduates.

Requirements

  • A-Levels or an equivalent qualification such as BTEC or T-Levels, preferably in a STEM subject, with a Grade 5 or above.
  • GCSE Maths and English with a Grade 5 or above.
  • Some entry-level software development, design, or creative product/project experience from an academic, professional, or personal setting.
  • Prior coding knowledge or experience in at least one programming language.
  • Creative, collaborative, curious, detail-oriented, and motivated to learn, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Applicants who have studied Computer Science at Level 4 or achieved a Software Engineering Level 4 Diploma are not eligible.
  • Must have UK employment eligibility; American Express will not provide visa sponsorship.
