Base Salary
$115k - $160k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and hands-on implementation of robust, scalable, and maintainable software architectures tailored to client needs.
- Design, develop, and integrate APIs and write API specifications.
- Guide and mentor engineering teams, conduct code reviews, set technical standards, and lead technical spikes.
- Work directly with clients to understand business goals, present technical solutions, and adjust strategies based on feedback.
- Design, establish, and maintain DevOps and CI/CD pipelines and manage complex deployment and release processes.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide support across diverse projects, including API design, live team support, and DevOps engagements.
Requirements
- At least 7–10 years of software engineering experience, preferably in a consulting environment or cross-functional product team.
- Experience building consumer-facing native mobile and web applications using relevant native languages and core frameworks.
- Demonstrated expertise architecting, building, maintaining, and scaling modern software across various platforms.
- Experience designing and maintaining DevOps and CI/CD pipelines and managing complex deployments.
- Scripting expertise such as Unix shell, Ruby, or Perl.
- Experience designing APIs and writing API specifications.
- Understanding of computer networking, including VPNs, SSH, and Wi-Fi, with experience setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting networks.
- Ability to identify security risks, articulate technical requirements, motivate teams, manage client expectations, and explain advanced technical concepts.
- Work samples demonstrating performant, organized code and well-implemented user interfaces.
- Excellent communication, presentation, problem-solving, discipline, organization, and software engineering skills.
- Bonus experience with technical diagramming, public technical education, personal products or apps, Go, Rust, Alexa, or Unity.
