Responsibilities
- Analyze, fix, and test vulnerabilities in Ubuntu packages.
- Track vulnerabilities in Ubuntu releases using internal software tools.
- Collaborate with the Ubuntu community and upstream developers to develop vulnerability patches.
- Audit source code for vulnerabilities.
Requirements
- Thorough understanding of common security vulnerabilities and fixing techniques.
- Familiarity with coordinated disclosure practices.
- Experience with open source development tools and methodologies.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as C, Python, Go, Rust, Java, Ruby, or PHP.
- Excellent logic, problem-solving, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication skills with team and community members.
- Experience with Linux, preferably Debian or Ubuntu.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and accountability.
- Ability to travel internationally for company events.
