Responsibilities
- Architect virtual cloud platforms balancing embedded software development needs with scalability, cybersecurity, resiliency, and cost requirements.
- Define and document requirements for cloud applications, virtualization platforms, and automation capabilities with cross-functional teams.
- Develop and maintain cloud-based co-simulation environments and automate their deployment, execution, and maintenance.
- Design automation workflows for component, subsystem, and vehicle-level regression testing.
- Lead integration and deployment of automation capabilities within CI/CD frameworks.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for cloud applications, virtualization, test automation, and GM’s SOLE virtualization platform.
- Collaborate with suppliers, simulation integration teams, and internal process partners to support software readiness milestones.
- Provide technical updates, demonstrations, and presentations to leadership and external organizations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a relevant engineering discipline is required.
- 10+ years of experience in cloud applications, virtualization, co-simulation, embedded software development, test automation, or validation roles is required.
- Expertise with C, C++, Python, Java, SystemC, Quarkus, Spring Boot, Micronaut, or CAPL is required.
- Experience with Azure, AWS, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, Singularity, Terraform, and Bicep is required.
- Hands-on experience designing and managing multi-region infrastructure for high availability, resiliency, disaster recovery, and scalable service delivery is required.
- Experience with Azure Service Bus, Azure Event Grid, and Azure Event Hubs is required.
- Experience with GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Glean, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Chat, and Claude-based coding workflows is required or expected.
- Knowledge of embedded control system test automation and co-simulation integration and execution is required.
- Experience with Vector CANape, Vector CANoe, dSpace SystemDesk, VEOS, AutoVal, and Intrepid Vehicle Spy is required.
- Experience with Jenkins and GitHub Actions is required.
- Demonstrated success leading complex projects under ambiguity and strong communication and leadership skills are required.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree or PhD, AWS, Azure, or GCP certification, GM development and test automation tools experience, scalable and event-driven simulation experience, and familiarity with Gerrit, Jenkins, and Git.
