Responsibilities
- Design and implement algorithms for 3D object tracking, segmentation, and motion recognition on embedded hardware.
- Train and iterate on machine-learning models from dataset curation through training, evaluation, and deployment to edge devices.
- Bring machine-learning, computer-vision, and signal-processing systems into production under tight performance constraints.
- Build reliable application features and backend services used by customers in real environments.
- Analyze production data to identify system limits, product issues, and improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with embedded-platform and applications teams on model optimization, inference performance, and product features.
- Own important parts of the architecture and contribute technical input across backend, data, and perception systems.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of software-engineering experience in production systems.
- Strong Python and backend-engineering skills.
- Working knowledge of C++ or a strong basis for working effectively in performance-critical code.
- Experience with data-intensive systems, distributed systems, parallel processing, or efficient data pipelines.
- Exposure to machine learning, ML infrastructure, signal processing, real-time systems, computer vision, or related applied technical areas.
- A track record of shipping reliable production software rather than only prototypes.
- Strong debugging skills and the ability to identify root causes of complex system behavior.
- Clear communication, sound judgment, curiosity, adaptability, and willingness to learn new technical areas.
- Preferred experience with computer vision, depth cameras, pose estimation, tracking, 3D data, ML model deployment, feature pipelines, evaluation systems, data quality tools, streaming data, event systems, real-time processing, low-latency applications, numerical methods, filtering, state estimation, or robotics.
