Base Salary

$93k - $210k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain secure cloud-native services and microservices.
  • Build highly available, scalable, and fault-tolerant distributed systems.
  • Own service components and drive features from design through deployment.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, participate in on-call rotations, and support incident response and postmortems.
  • Analyze performance and improve service scalability, availability, monitoring, alerting, and reliability.
  • Write maintainable, production-ready code and participate in design and code reviews.
  • Collaborate with Product Management and partner engineering teams on technical solutions.
  • Build automation, improve engineering practices and tooling, and reduce operational toil.
  • Mentor interns and junior engineers on day-to-day engineering practices.

Requirements

  • Strong programming skills in Java, Go, C++, Python, or a similar language.
  • Solid understanding of distributed systems, concurrency, multithreading, asynchronous programming, cloud computing, and service-oriented architectures.
  • Experience developing REST APIs and microservices.
  • Experience with Git, automated testing, and modern software development practices.
  • Understanding of system security, authentication protocols, and compliance frameworks such as FedRAMP and PCI DSS.
  • Preferred: experience with Identity and Access Management systems and operating production cloud services.
  • Preferred: familiarity with OCI, AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Preferred: experience with observability tools such as metrics, logging, and tracing.
  • Preferred: experience with applied cryptography.

  • US hiring range is $92,500 to $209,500 per annum, with potential bonus and equity eligibility.
