Responsibilities
- Lead technical delivery for client projects with a focus on quality and performance.
- Design and implement kdb+ architectures for billions of rows of time-series data.
- Translate business needs from quants, traders, and analysts into performant code.
- Develop, test, support, and maintain client application code throughout the full development lifecycle.
- Mentor and guide junior and mid-level developers.
- Drive innovation in kdb+, q, and related technologies.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of hands-on kdb+ development experience with deep expertise in q and time-series data.
- Proven experience designing, implementing, and scaling kdb+ systems in production.
- Strong experience with Unix/Linux environments and scripting.
- Demonstrated technical leadership and decision-making on fast-paced projects.
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in capital markets or investment banking.
- Experience with AI tooling such as Claude or Co-Pilot is a bonus.
- Experience with Python, AWS, GCP, Azure, or other time-series databases is a bonus.
- Exposure to tick data, real-time analytics, or electronic trading systems is a bonus.
- People management or team leadership experience is a bonus.
