Base Salary
$147k - $277k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and maintain scalable test infrastructure for embedded Linux, sensor, camera, and OTA subsystems.
- Build automation, validation, continuous integration, test orchestration, and hardware-in-the-loop frameworks.
- Partner with development, QA, and integration teams to improve coverage, test speed, reliability, and OTA validation.
- Integrate automated testing into Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and containerized execution environments.
- Develop and extend pytest, Python, embedded hardware-test harnesses, and service-level testing tools.
- Scale distributed and parallel test execution across embedded targets and virtual environments.
- Improve observability with dashboards, reporting, alerting, and system-health monitoring.
- Mentor engineers and promote automation-first software quality practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
- 7+ years of experience in software development, test automation, or infrastructure engineering, including meaningful embedded or platform systems experience.
- Strong proficiency in Python and pytest, with experience architecting scalable test systems for multiple teams.
- Deep knowledge of embedded Linux, shell scripting, and system-level or kernel debugging.
- Hands-on experience testing or integrating sensor sets such as radar, lidar, and ultrasonic systems, plus camera subsystems.
- Experience validating OTA update delivery, rollback, and failure recovery.
- Strong background in CI/CD pipelines, build systems, test orchestration, Docker, and orchestration tools.
- Preferred experience includes automotive, embedded, or IoT platforms; vehicle testing frameworks; CAN/LIN; HIL/SIL; Appium or mobile/Android UI automation; and Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills across development, QA, and integration teams.
