Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain full-stack features using Java and React.
- Build responsive React applications and integrate APIs and web services.
- Work with Oracle and PostgreSQL relational databases.
- Write unit and integration tests, including JUnit-based tests or equivalents.
- Maintain automated test frameworks using Ruby and Cucumber, including step definitions and feature files.
- Write automated tests for features developed by other engineers to provide unbiased validation.
- Apply test-first development and consider performance, scalability, instrumentation, configuration, and logging.
- Use JMeter or similar tools for load and performance testing when required.
- Analyze logs, debug issues, and implement fixes.
- Collaborate in Agile ceremonies and work with product managers and analysts on functional and non-functional requirements.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Java with strong JUnit testing experience.
- Proficiency in React and associated unit testing frameworks.
- Familiarity with Ruby scripting for Cucumber step definitions and Cucumber end-to-end testing.
- Understanding of multithreading, parallel processing, real-time messaging, and test-first design.
- Understanding of CI/CD practices and practical cloud hosting concepts involving databases, servers, storage, and gateways.
- Ability to use JMeter or similar performance-testing tools is a plus.
- Experience using AI-assisted engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot or ChatGPT while maintaining code quality and critical thinking.
- Familiarity with financial markets concepts is required, while knowledge of the corporate actions lifecycle is preferred.
- Strong analytical, debugging, communication, collaboration, and product-oriented problem-solving skills.
