Base Salary
$140k - $240k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement a unified database observability platform for real-time visibility.
- Create secure interfaces for AI agents to interact with production databases.
- Develop AI-powered automation for routine DBA tasks to reduce manual toil.
- Build a self-service database platform for product engineering teams.
- Establish and enforce database best practices across the organization.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to diagnose performance issues and provide guidance.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with backend languages like Python, Go, Java, or Kotlin.
- Deep experience with PostgreSQL, including performance tuning and operational best practices.
- Experience with Redis, focusing on data modeling and operational management.
- Hands-on experience with GCP, infrastructure-as-code, Kubernetes, and Docker.
- Proven track record of building automation and tooling to replace manual operations.
- Strong system design skills for architecting reliable infrastructure services.
