$189k - $195k/yr

Responsibilities

Research, evaluate, and prototype emerging wireless and embedded technologies for connected access products.
Design, develop, and architect embedded systems and firmware for smart locks and access-control devices from initial bring-up through production readiness.
Implement firmware features for sensors, proximity functionality, and low-power device operation.
Integrate Bluetooth Low Energy, Wi-Fi, and other wireless protocols with mobile applications and cloud services.
Develop wired embedded interfaces, low-level drivers, and protocol debugging for sensors, motors, actuators, and control components.
Design real-time operating system and bare-metal firmware architectures and optimize power-management strategies.
Collaborate with intellectual property teams on patentable firmware and system-level innovations.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or equivalent.
At least 5 years of related experience.
At least 5 years of experience developing embedded wireless connectivity firmware for secure communication with mobile applications and cloud services.
At least 4 years of experience developing embedded firmware in Embedded C for battery-powered real-time devices with hardware peripheral integration.
At least 4 years of experience developing real-time embedded applications using RTOS.
At least 5 years of experience designing embedded systems architecture integrating firmware, wireless protocols, and hardware interfaces.
At least 5 years of experience developing embedded communication interfaces using wired protocols, including low-level driver development and protocol debugging.
Must live within normal commuting distance of the worksite.
