Responsibilities

  • Define end-to-end solution architectures aligned with enterprise strategy, including scalability, security, performance, maintainability, and operational readiness.
  • Own architectural decisions and evaluate build, buy, and reuse options based on business value, cost, complexity, delivery time, and risk.
  • Create and maintain architecture diagrams, integration patterns, data flows, decision records, and other documentation.
  • Guide development teams, lead architecture reviews, and drive adoption of enterprise standards, security requirements, governance processes, and technical best practices.
  • Assess technical feasibility, perform cost-benefit analysis, and manage technical risks, dependencies, and technical debt.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions in collaboration with stakeholders, product owners, and engineering teams.
  • Support legacy-system modernization, cloud migration, refactoring, resiliency, disaster recovery, and production supportability initiatives.
  • Mentor engineers and improve technical maturity across distributed engineering teams.

Requirements

  • Strong expertise designing secure, scalable, and highly available Azure cloud solutions across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
  • Deep knowledge of Azure compute, storage, networking, identity including Azure AD, integration services, and data platforms.
  • Experience with microservices, event-driven architecture, API-led integration, distributed systems, messaging, data integration, and complex enterprise environments.
  • Experience designing resiliency, high availability, failover, backup, and recovery strategies.
  • Experience evaluating PaaS, IaaS, and SaaS options based on cost, operability, and risk.
  • Experience modernizing legacy systems and leading cloud migration and refactoring initiatives.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and automation.
  • Ability to produce architecture documentation and decision records and to manage governance, compliance, risk, and technical debt.
  • Strong enterprise architecture, stakeholder management, communication, conflict-resolution, and technical-influence skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership mentoring engineers and aligning distributed teams in environments with competing priorities and resource constraints.
  • Experience working in Agile delivery models while supporting architecture strategy and delivery execution.
