Responsibilities
- Develop cloud-native security controls in Azure, AWS, and/or GCP.
- Create secure-by-design paved roads, guardrails, and software excellence requirements for containerized services on managed Kubernetes clusters.
- Advise Platform and Engineering teams on cloud and Kubernetes services, secure infrastructure-as-code, authentication and authorization, and secrets management.
- Define and implement cloud- and Kubernetes-native policies using technologies such as Kyverno and Pod Security Standards.
- Conduct security assessments, audits, and architecture reviews and recommend improvements to the platform’s security posture.
- Maintain cloud monitoring and alerting tooling and develop troubleshooting scripts to support incident detection and response.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience in a security engineering role with exposure to technical decision-making.
- Experience with containers, Kubernetes, infrastructure-as-code, and programming in Go, Java, and/or Python.
- Background or active interest in cloud, infrastructure, and/or network security.
- Experience with cloud-native authentication mechanisms such as OIDC and OAuth2, secrets management, admission controllers, service mesh, mTLS, and cloud IAM solutions.
- Familiarity with securing and hardening Kubernetes clusters, containerized applications, and Linux hosts.
- Ability to architect cloud-native applications, including APIs and microservices running on containers.
