Base Salary
$160k - $350k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop advanced sensor algorithms for IMUs, radar, cameras, GPS, and other sensors.
- Integrate multi-sensor data to improve state-estimation accuracy and robustness.
- Design and implement real-time sensor-data processing pipelines.
- Collaborate with software, autonomy research, and hardware engineering teams on algorithm integration.
- Conduct experiments and field tests to validate state-estimation performance.
- Apply advances in sensor technologies and state estimation to autonomous aircraft systems.
Requirements
- Typically requires 5 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree, 4 years with a master’s degree, 2 years with a PhD, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience developing and deploying real-time sensor-processing algorithms involving cameras, radar, IMUs, GPS, or similar sensors.
- Understanding of state-estimation techniques, including Kalman filters and particle filters.
- Experience with C++ 11 or newer and Linux command-line tools.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated record of shipping products and delivering high-quality solutions through development cycles.
- Preferred experience implementing inertial-navigation algorithms on real-time processing systems.
- Preferred knowledge of computer-vision techniques and optimizing algorithms for compute-constrained systems.
- Preferred experience with CUDA or other hardware-acceleration technologies such as FPGAs.
- Preferred record of transitioning R&D work to production.
- Ability to obtain an S//SAR-level security clearance is desired.
