Responsibilities
- Design and build future-proof solutions while considering system-wide impacts.
- Develop features from conception through implementation, estimation, planning, tracking, and deployment.
- Gather and refine requirements and release software in a timely manner.
- Work with technical support to identify, reproduce, and remediate software defects.
- Build and deliver features using agentic tooling, including custom skills, agents, and harnesses.
- Improve prompts, skills, workflows, evaluations, guardrails, and review practices for the AI-enabled developer experience.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and manage relevant risks and dependencies.
Requirements
- BSc or MSc in Computer Science or a related qualification, or commercial experience developing in C#, Java, or another object-oriented programming language.
- At least two years of hands-on commercial experience programming on the .NET platform using C# and ASP.NET MVC.
- Experience with design patterns, refactoring, object-oriented design, Web API, database design and development, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and jQuery.
- Practical experience with AI coding assistants and agentic engineering workflows, with willingness to work primarily through agents.
- Experience with cloud technologies such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Experience with source control tools such as TFS, SVN, or Git.
- Strong attention to detail, work ethic, analytical and problem-solving skills, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Legal right to work in the UK.
- Desirable experience includes Azure Functions, queues, custom agent skills, harnesses, MCP servers, prompt libraries, AI code evaluations, guardrails, testing methodologies, LEAN software development, CI/CD systems, Bootstrap, .NET Core, Entity Framework Code First migrations, Claude or Claude Code, and financial services.
