Base Salary
$262k - $364k/yr
Responsibilities
- Provide technical direction and define the architectural foundation for Cloud SDK developer products, client libraries, and CLIs.
- Partner with Cloud leadership to align developer surfaces with next-generation Google Cloud Platform capabilities and establish API development standards.
- Collaborate with more than 150 Cloud partner teams to integrate, scale, and support API surfaces in the gcloud CLI and client libraries.
- Establish and enforce SDK and CLI design guidelines for a unified developer experience and high product quality.
- Engineer specialized SDK infrastructure for domain-specific use cases, including Spanner and Google Cloud Storage.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 8 years of programming experience in Java, Go, Python, Node.js, Rust, C++, C#, Ruby, or PHP.
- At least 5 years of experience with software design and architecture and with testing and launching software products.
- At least 5 years of experience working on developer tools and building Software Development Kits.
- At least 5 years of experience with Cloud APIs.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Preferred qualifications include 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms, 5 years in a technical leadership role setting direction and leading project teams, 3 years in a complex matrixed organization, and experience with Cloud Identity and AuthN/AuthZ.
