Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain software, internal automation tools, and CI/CD capabilities across the software development lifecycle.
  • Design and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation using Python, Bash, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, YAML, and related tools.
  • Build and maintain containerized environments with Docker and Podman and orchestrate deployments using Kubernetes and Helm.
  • Develop internal web-based automation platforms with Python, Flask, and PostgreSQL.
  • Develop and maintain Java applications using Jakarta EE, EJB, Quarkus, Spring, and Hibernate.
  • Integrate AI services and APIs into internal engineering tools and workflows.
  • Create automated functional, integration, unit, load, and performance testing solutions using Robot Framework, Locust, and unit testing frameworks.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues across development, testing, and production environments and support go-live, acceptance, and testing activities.
  • Apply secure coding practices, maintain technical documentation, track delivery activities in Jira, and identify SDLC improvement opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Software development experience with strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, object-oriented programming, and software engineering skills.
  • Experience with Java and related technologies including Jakarta EE, Spring, Hibernate, EJB, and/or Quarkus.
  • Strong scripting and development skills with Python and Bash.
  • Experience developing web applications with Flask or similar frameworks and working with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, container technologies, Kubernetes, Helm, automated testing, and performance testing.
  • Knowledge of web services, APIs, microservices architectures, cloud technologies, secure coding principles, and common application security risks.
  • Experience with Jira or similar tracking tools, configuration management, IP technologies, and software development methodologies.
  • Ability to work independently, analyze complex technical problems, collaborate across teams, and communicate and share knowledge effectively.
  • Preferred qualifications include experience integrating AI services or APIs such as Claude into development or automation workflows and a strong interest in automation and continuous improvement.
