Base Salary
$142k - $213k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and support low-latency exchange and client connectivity, order-management, algorithmic-access, and direct-market-access platforms.
- Design and optimize systems for performance, concurrency, high throughput, resiliency, and network connectivity.
- Partner with business and technology stakeholders to integrate functions, define enhancements, and deliver new products and process improvements.
- Improve automated testing, quality engineering, development environments, monitoring, reconciliation, application recovery, and other production-support capabilities.
- Analyze complex business and system processes and develop innovative solutions to high-impact problems.
- Mentor junior developers and collaborate with globally distributed engineering, product, quantitative research, infrastructure, and production-support teams.
- Apply software-development best practices, regulatory policies, risk controls, and sound ethical judgment.
Requirements
- 6–10 years of relevant application-development experience in financial technology.
- Hands-on experience developing low-latency systems in Java.
- Experience with low-latency system design, performance optimization, concurrency, high-throughput architecture, and network protocols.
- Experience managing and implementing successful projects.
- Demonstrated leadership and project-management skills.
- Ability to adjust priorities quickly and communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
- Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent experience.
