Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and applications using Node.js and TypeScript.
- Design, develop, and integrate RESTful APIs connecting frontend applications with backend services.
- Develop and optimize MySQL schemas, queries, indexes, and transactions for performance, reliability, and data integrity.
- Deploy backend applications across development, staging, and production environments and support reliable releases.
- Identify bottlenecks, troubleshoot issues, and improve application response times, scalability, and resource utilization.
- Implement security practices including input validation, authentication, authorization, and error handling.
- Monitor deployed applications, troubleshoot production issues, and implement fixes and improvements.
- Collaborate with Product, Frontend, QA, DevOps, and Engineering teams on end-to-end software solutions.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of professional experience in backend software development.
- Strong hands-on experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
- Proficiency in MySQL, including database design, query optimization, indexing, and transaction management.
- Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and backend services.
- Experience building and deploying scalable software applications in production environments.
- Understanding of backend architecture, asynchronous programming, event-driven systems, error handling, application security, authentication, authorization, and secure coding practices.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is beneficial.
- Familiarity with Docker, automated deployment processes, Redis, message queues, microservices architecture, or distributed systems is beneficial.
