Responsibilities
- Lead development for projects or initiatives while championing technical excellence and developer experience.
- Guide, mentor, and help build a highly effective engineering team.
- Define architectural and algorithmic direction for gameplay APIs and tools in collaboration with product design.
- Collaborate with Unreal Engine and Fortnite teams on feature development.
- Optimize, refactor, and debug existing systems while writing robust, maintainable code.
- Contribute ideas across project production and development and use AI to enhance team productivity.
Requirements
- Significant experience developing games with Unreal Engine.
- Experience leading an engineering team effectively.
- Proactive, courageous leadership with direct communication and openness to honest feedback.
- Deep understanding of the creator ecosystem and developer-focused tools, workflows, and platforms.
- Proficiency in C++ and deep knowledge of gameplay systems, mechanics, and tools.
- Strong teamwork, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and constructive-feedback skills.
- Knowledge of Scene Graph and Verse is a plus.
- Experience with Unreal Editor for Fortnite or Roblox Studio is relevant to the creator ecosystem.
