Responsibilities
- Own the uptime, performance, and reliability of Ritual’s validators.
- Manage upgrades, snapshots, and sync performance.
- Build and automate bare-metal and cloud deployments for validators.
- Orchestrate client upgrades and hard-forks with zero downtime.
- Profile and patch critical paths for optimal client performance.
- Produce run-books and maintain clear documentation.
- Support validator operators via Discord to ensure healthy staking participation.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience operating high-availability distributed systems.
- Direct experience running PoS validators on EVM-based chains.
- Proficient in Go and Rust, with the ability to read and debug client code.
- Strong grasp of protocol-level concepts such as fork-choice and state sync.
- Expertise in Kubernetes/Helm, Terraform, and CI/CD workflows.
- Advanced Linux user with deep networking knowledge and focus on security.
- Passionate about observability, including logs, metrics, and traces.
