Responsibilities
- Build and automate bare-metal and cloud deployments for validators using the existing simulation framework.
- Orchestrate client upgrades, parameter changes, and hard forks with zero downtime across staging and mainnet.
- Profile and patch critical paths to optimize execution and consensus client performance.
- Manage validator uptime, performance, reliability, upgrades, snapshots, and sync performance.
- Own deployment tooling and provide technical support to validator operators.
- Produce run-books and maintain clear operational documentation.
- Support validator operators through Discord to maintain healthy staking participation.
Requirements
- 4+ years operating high-availability distributed systems, including direct experience running PoS validators on EVM-based chains.
- Proficiency in Go and Rust, including the ability to read, debug, and extend Execution Layer and Consensus Layer client code.
- Strong understanding of fork-choice, evidence handling, slashing conditions, and state sync.
- Expertise with Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, and CI/CD workflows.
- Advanced Linux skills, deep networking knowledge, and a focus on system hardening and security.
- Strong observability experience with logs, metrics, and traces.
- Preferred: experience supporting external validator operators, including documentation, snapshots, and integration support.
- Preferred: upstream contributions to execution and consensus clients.
- Preferred: experience orchestrating GPU workloads or other compute-intensive pipelines.
- Preferred: familiarity with deploying, maintaining, and tuning open-source AI models.
- Preferred: experience working with infrastructure partners, custodians, and auditors in high-uptime environments.
