Responsibilities
- Design and build high-scale, 24/7 APIs and distributed payment services across multiple cloud providers.
- Own systems end to end from design documentation through production operations.
- Integrate and scale payment channels and methods across global markets.
- Build for transaction correctness through consistency, idempotency, reconciliation, failure recovery, and operational tooling.
- Participate in design and code reviews and help establish engineering standards.
- Investigate and resolve complex distributed-systems challenges.
- Collaborate with product, design, and partner teams across regions to convert ambiguous requirements into shipped systems.
- Mentor engineers and share technical knowledge.
Requirements
- 8+ years of backend software development experience.
- Proven track record building and operating high-availability, large-scale applications.
- Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and software design patterns.
- Ability to drive cross-team collaboration and manage complex dependencies and competing requirements.
- Strong problem-solving skills and comfort working autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for explaining technical trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Genuine interest in crypto or fintech and improving how money moves.
