Base Salary
$142k - $213k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, troubleshoot, and own servers and cloud-based systems.
- Write, maintain, and deploy C++ software and distributed computational systems on Linux.
- Plan and execute development, testing, and deployment of software features and cloud infrastructure improvements.
- Use Snowflake data warehouses and Aerospike distributed databases.
- Analyze and optimize algorithm performance using scalable design patterns.
- Document software designs, evaluation plans, test results, technical manuals, requirements, and recommendations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements and integration needs.
- Work with Quality Assurance to validate applications against specifications and technical requirements.
- Review code, disseminate software best practices, and mentor junior engineers.
- Monitor competitive applications, products, literature, patents, and current practices relevant to assigned projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of coursework and experience or extensive related professional experience.
- 7–10 years of relevant work experience is listed.
- At least 4 years of professional experience with compiled languages, databases, and network programming; C++ is preferred.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.
- Proficiency with code versioning tools such as Git.
- Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly to complex existing environments and work on multiple projects.
- Go experience and ad technology experience are preferred.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, variable schedules, and overtime as necessary.
Benefits
- Two days onsite in Reston, Virginia.
- Base pay is listed within a Virginia range of $141,850.78–$212,776.16, with additional bonus eligibility for most non-sales positions.
