Responsibilities

  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including architecture, design, estimation, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Design, develop, troubleshoot, and maintain high-quality software solutions with comprehensive automated test coverage.
  • Collaborate with product owners, software architects, and engineers to turn requirements into incremental product enhancements.
  • Improve engineering processes, development practices, and team productivity.
  • Monitor large-scale production applications and perform log analysis, debugging, maintenance, and on-call support.
  • Use AI-assisted development practices such as specification-driven development, code generation, automated reviews, and developer productivity tools.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 1 year of production-level hands-on Java development experience, ideally with Java 8 or later.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS or another cloud provider, including technologies such as ECS, SQS, S3, ElastiCache, IAM, and Lambda.
  • Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs.
  • Preferred experience includes large-scale SaaS application development, operation, and monitoring; Terraform; scalable cloud systems; microservices or serverless architectures; multi-repository Git codebases; testing frameworks such as BlazeMeter; shell scripting; automated CI/CD pipelines; and Scala.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, collaboration, presentation, and continuous-learning abilities.
