Base Salary
$148k - $264k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop frameworks, automation, and tooling that improve engineering efficiency and developer self-service.
- Design, implement, test, document, operate, and maintain distributed systems, applications, frameworks, and software components.
- Build and deploy scalable ML Runtime inference applications and services using Python, containers, Kubernetes, and related tooling.
- Develop products and services that streamline developers’ interactions with the ML platform.
- Work with public clouds, capacity management practices, infrastructure as code, and production container orchestration.
- Research, evaluate, prototype, and drive adoption of ML tools with reliability and scale in mind.
- Partner with technical leads, ML engineers, and data scientists to define requirements and deliver end-to-end features.
- Participate in proactive issue resolution, automation efforts, and rotating on-call support.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional DevOps experience, infrastructure automation, and CI/CD pipeline development for the P3 level, or 7+ years for the P4 level.
- 5+ years of Python and containerization experience for the P3 level, or 7+ years for the P4 level, including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a STEM field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Hands-on experience deploying, monitoring, scaling, or operating machine-learning runtime platforms, environments, or inference pipelines alongside ML teams.
- Experience with Terraform or comparable infrastructure-as-code tooling, Git workflows, and GitOps/CD engines such as ArgoCD or Jenkins.
- Experience building monitoring, metrics, alerting, and telemetry pipelines using tools such as Grafana or Prometheus.
- Understanding of distributed systems, SaaS microservices, object-oriented design, and automated unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Technical leadership or mentoring experience is preferred for the P4 level.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance; an active TS/SCI with CI Poly is preferred.
- U.S. citizenship is required for personnel working on the applicable U.S. federal contracts.
