Base Salary
$207k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Optimize global data center capacity usage across internal and external customers over multi-year planning horizons.
- Lead junior engineers in setting policy, proposing technical designs, writing software, addressing defects, and measuring system success.
- Provide one-to-one guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Partner with business and cross-functional teams to align policy changes, technical roadmaps, dependencies, and commitments.
- Drive coding, code review, software design, architecture discussions, and communication of technical impact.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience programming in C++.
- 5 years of experience testing and launching software products.
- 5 years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, networks, compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.
- 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
- Preferred: Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Preferred: 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- Preferred: 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
- Preferred: 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional or cross-business projects.
