Responsibilities
- Embed with engineering customer teams to understand applications and workflows and translate their needs into technical designs.
- Design, build, test, integrate, deploy, and operate production platform software.
- Develop Go backend services, React and TypeScript applications, APIs, distributed systems, and infrastructure automation.
- Operate owned services through on-call participation, observability, incident response, and root-cause analysis.
- Build LLM integrations, agentic workflows, evaluations, and quality controls for production use.
- Turn recurring customer-specific requirements into reusable platform capabilities and provide technical leadership across teams.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience designing and delivering production software.
- Strong backend development skills in Go or a comparable language such as Rust, C++, or Python, with the ability to become productive in Go.
- Understanding of software architecture, REST and gRPC APIs, distributed applications, relational data modeling, networking, Linux, authentication, transport security, and production operations.
- Hands-on experience with relational and distributed SQL databases, major cloud providers, service-to-service security, software delivery, observability, and incident response.
- Demonstrated technical leadership on multi-team projects and the ability to work from loosely defined requirements.
- Preferred qualifications include a BS in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent experience, frontend development with React and TypeScript, platform or infrastructure automation, Kubernetes, distributed systems, multi-region infrastructure, observability, progressive delivery, and LLM or agentic workflow integrations.
- Preferred experience includes mentoring engineers, leading design reviews, setting technical direction, and managing infrastructure or fleets at scale.
