Base Salary
$110k - $140k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate application design, architectural pattern implementation, and consistent development practices.
- Provide technical leadership to Agile teams and periodically perform work from the product backlog.
- Deliver high-quality software solutions aligned with team commitments and enterprise technology direction.
- Identify opportunities to improve solution architecture and maximize reuse of existing services, components, and technologies.
- Collaborate with Solution Architects to drive Nelnet technology solution architecture.
- Protect data, systems, and networks while maintaining secure, reliable, redundant, and accessible systems.
- Understand supported business domains and communicate effectively across organizational levels.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of software development experience with strong expertise in at least one key competency.
- 2 to 3 years of experience as a technical or development leader delivering medium- to large-scale technology solutions.
- Strong experience with Microsoft .NET, .NET Core, C#, ASP.NET, Microsoft IIS, service-based architecture, message-based processing, relational databases, GitLab, and full-stack development.
- Knowledge of secure development practices, software development lifecycle practices, and Agile or iterative delivery approaches.
- Experience with collaboration tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Microsoft Teams.
- Ability to integrate applications with internal systems and external partners, learn new technologies, analyze business solutions, and lead team members.
- Knowledge of NIST compliance and ISSO2 is strongly desired.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a 6C Federal security clearance.
