Base Salary
$122k - $181k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop software stack components spanning AI compilers, frameworks, high-performance kernels, and hardware acceleration.
- Contribute to PyTorch core compilers supporting training and inference on AI hardware accelerators.
- Analyze deep learning networks and implement compiler optimization algorithms.
- Collaborate with AI research scientists to accelerate recommendation, generative AI, computer vision, and NLP models.
- Perform performance tuning and optimization of deep learning framework and software components.
- Partner with hardware design teams on compiler optimization and hardware-software codesign.
Requirements
- Currently hold or be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a relevant technical field, or have equivalent practical experience; the degree must be completed before joining Meta.
- Proven C/C++ programming skills.
- Experience developing AI frameworks or accelerating deep learning models on hardware architectures.
- Preferred experience with PyTorch, Caffe2, TensorFlow, ONNX, or TensorRT.
- Preferred experience developing training and inference framework components and performance analysis tooling.
- Preferred knowledge of GPU, CPU, or AI accelerator architectures.
- Preferred compiler optimization experience, including loop optimization, vectorization, parallelization, SIMD, MLIR, LLVM, IREE, XLA, TVM, or Halide.
- Preferred CUDA, OpenMP, OpenCL, or AI accelerator kernel programming experience, including libraries such as cuBLAS, cuDNN, CUTLASS, HIP, or ROCm.
- Preferred experience with responsible and ethical AI practices, AI workflow optimization, prompt/context engineering, and agent orchestration.
- Preferred experience requirements include 7+ years with a bachelor’s degree, 4+ years with a master’s degree, or 3+ years with a PhD in relevant AI framework or hardware acceleration work.
Benefits
- Annual base salary of $121,992 to $181,000, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.
