Responsibilities
- Participate in requirements analysis and collaborate with internal teams on software design and architecture.
- Develop state-of-the-art enterprise identity cloud solutions and maintain existing services.
- Revise, refactor, debug, test, and deploy applications and systems.
- Build and manage complex, large-scale enterprise applications with resilience and reliability.
- Design and optimize database queries, troubleshoot locking issues, and resolve performance bottlenecks.
- Manage concurrency, rate limiting, throttling, API performance, bulk executions, file uploads, and large-scale data processing.
- Provide application expertise and technical support, and create documentation throughout the software development life cycle.
- Manage multiple teams and initiatives while leading, hiring, and retaining high-performing engineering talent.
- Drive engineering practices including estimation, design, and code reviews, unit testing, and continuous integration/development.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in Java/J2EE technologies.
- Hands-on experience with Java, core Java concepts, Spring, Hibernate, Groovy, Grails, and Java-based REST/SOAP web services and distributed systems.
- Proficiency with relational database management systems, query optimization, performance tuning, and stored procedures.
- Experience with code repository tools, Java debugging tools, API performance management, and large-scale data processing.
- Basic understanding of UI development, HTML, JavaScript, and jQuery.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering; an MS or Master’s in Information Technology is preferred.
- Proven experience building and managing complex, large-scale enterprise applications and products.
- Proven experience managing teams and attracting, hiring, retaining, and leading engineering talent.
- Strong written, verbal, presentation, leadership, problem-solving, analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
