Responsibilities
- Contribute to the technical direction, architecture, tooling, and governance of the design system.
- Collaborate with Design, Product, Architecture, and Engineering to ensure components are reusable, accessible, performant, and aligned with standards.
- Support developers, review implementation quality, manage releases and breaking changes, and maintain technical documentation.
- Develop product features and defect fixes according to the product roadmap and defined standards.
- Create unit and integration tests, follow code quality rules and metrics, and identify solutions for performance and CI/CD issues.
- Develop and review feature design documentation and provide updates to solution specifications.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of HTML semantics, SEO, and accessibility.
- Advanced or expert CSS skills, including CSS architecture best practices and current language features.
- Core JavaScript knowledge and proficiency in TypeScript, Web Components, and evaluating third-party libraries or frameworks.
- Experience with React, Angular, or Vue and its ecosystem.
- Strong knowledge of design systems, component libraries, scalable frontend architecture, and practical accessibility using WCAG 2.2 AA, ARIA, keyboard navigation, focus management, and screen reader testing.
- Understanding of web performance, Core Web Vitals, optimization techniques, and resilient web design.
- Experience with automated testing, release management, documentation, engineering governance, unit and integration testing, browser DevTools, and CI/CD processes.
- Ability to work under general direction, manage assigned work, collaborate effectively, and handle complex or non-routine tasks.
- Desirable: experience with Contentful or similar headless CMS platforms, Jira, Confluence, internationalization practices, and performance techniques such as critical CSS extraction and lazy loading.
