Responsibilities
- Translate domain strategy, target architecture, standards, and guardrails into project-level Salesforce solution architecture.
- Lead solution design, including architecture diagrams, integration and data considerations, security requirements, and non-functional requirements.
- Decompose architecture into sequenced technical deliverables, dependencies, implementation approaches, Jira work items, and milestones.
- Maintain architecture involvement through implementation and guide configuration, custom development, low-code, pro-code, integration, data, and security decisions.
- Review designs and implementation outcomes, document architecture decisions and risks, and recommend remediation for deviations or technical debt.
- Escalate cross-domain and enterprise-level concerns to the Principal Architect or architecture governance forum.
- Coach technical leads, developers, and delivery team members and contribute reusable patterns and lessons learned to the Salesforce architecture community.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Eight or more years of enterprise technology experience, including significant Salesforce delivery experience.
- Experience performing solution or delivery architecture responsibilities within complex enterprise programs.
- Strong knowledge of Salesforce solution design, configuration, custom development, integration, data, security, and application lifecycle considerations.
- Experience translating high-level architecture into executable technical work packages and delivery backlogs.
- Experience with Agile delivery environments and tools such as Jira.
- Knowledge of software and systems engineering principles, development lifecycles, testing strategies, production support, application architecture, system design, cloud infrastructure, secure engineering, scalability, reliability, resilience, observability, and operational support.
- Ability to lead complex engineering work, influence technical direction, guide design decisions, mentor engineers, and collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Preferred qualifications include Salesforce architect-level or advanced technical certifications, experience with large-scale multi-team Salesforce environments, formal architecture governance, and regulated or globally distributed enterprise environments.
- Preferred certifications include AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, AZ-900: Azure Fundamentals, or RHCSA.
