Senior Machine Learning Engineer I, AI & ML Platform

Responsibilities
- Build and scale the centralized AI platform, tooling, and best practices to enable rapid deployment of GenAI capabilities.
- Monitor and maintain uptime and high availability for critical AI and ML platform tools.
- Identify high-impact engineering opportunities and contribute to backlog prioritization and internal platform adoption.
- Participate in on-call rotations, host internal office hours, and contribute to cross-functional AI working groups.
- Lead refactoring initiatives and establish centralized coding standards for engineering contributors.
- Consult with machine learning teams and modernize MLOps best practices.
- Partner with feature teams as a technical consultant to accelerate adoption of AI and ML platform offerings.
- Troubleshoot and debug AWS, Azure, and Kubernetes infrastructure issues.
- Optimize processes across feature development, operational support, and internal consultations.
- Meet internal support SLAs, reduce GenAI feature time-to-production, and improve internal engineering NPS.
Requirements
- A degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field focused on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
- Four to six years of Python development experience with GenAI and ML libraries and frameworks.
- Experience maintaining and configuring third-party and in-house engineering tools, including deploying them within Kubernetes.
- Experience driving adoption of generalized platforms and improving internal Developer Experience.
- Ability to architect full-project solutions as a technical lead in an enterprise environment while considering project and organizational constraints.
- Ability to mentor junior engineers and communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Nice to have experience with MLOps and machine learning model creation and deployment.
- Nice to have experience in DevOps-style operations, on-call rotations, and cloud infrastructure management.
- Nice to have experience debugging AWS or Azure environments and Kubernetes clusters.
- Nice to have one to two years of Ruby on Rails experience.
