Base Salary
$145k - $183k/yr
Responsibilities
- Engineer and maintain core money platform capabilities with a focus on high availability, security, and scalability.
- Own team operations and availability by establishing monitoring, triage rotations, playbooks, policies, testing, and alerting for on-call support.
- Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics on ideation, technical constraints, risks, trade-offs, and product decisions.
Requirements
- Proficiency in backend programming languages such as Java or Go.
- Familiarity with relational or NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL and Redis.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
- Understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems, along with strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Three or more years of professional software engineering experience, with significant experience in payments, billing, or financial technology preferred.
- Deep understanding of payment processing, including authorization, capture, settlement, and reconciliation.
- Experience with payment gateways such as Stripe, Adyen, or PayPal.
- Experience architecting and operating large-scale, fault-tolerant distributed systems handling financial data.
- Knowledge of fraud detection techniques and experience building or integrating risk management systems.
