Base Salary
$197k - $345k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build sustainable developer tooling and workflows for Slack’s iOS application.
- Develop and maintain iOS tooling across the CI-to-CD lifecycle using Bazel, Swift, Python, and Xcode.
- Integrate AI coding agents and software factories to automate pull request generation, code reviews, refactoring, testing, and pipeline triage.
- Monitor and improve CI stability, TimeToMerge, build-time metrics, and other developer productivity KPIs.
- Lead technical design, maintain high code-quality standards, mentor iOS engineers, and own improvements across Slack’s iOS codebase.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience building and maintaining complex iOS tooling from CI through CD.
- Deep expertise with Swift, Bazel, Python, and Xcode tools.
- Hands-on experience using and integrating AI coding agents such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot Workspace, or custom LLM scripts.
- Familiarity with the Apple ecosystem, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing tools, and Python or Bash scripting.
- A related technical degree is required.
- Experience using Slack and prior experience in an iOS developer experience role are bonus qualifications.

- The position offers a base salary range of $197,300–$313,700 annually, or $237,700–$344,700 annually in select San Francisco and New York City metropolitan areas; bonus, equity, and benefits may also apply.
