Responsibilities
- Own the technical direction, architecture, and delivery of custom software and agentic AI solutions.
- Lead the AI pod in designing AI agents for data discovery, reverse engineering, STTM, and data ingestion.
- Define and implement LLM, RAG, prompt engineering, tool-calling, context-management, and agentic workflows.
- Establish AI evaluation, guardrails, observability, scalability, reliability, and production-readiness practices.
- Lead data discovery and reverse engineering across legacy codebases, SQL systems, ETL packages, and data-warehouse patterns.
- Use Python for parsing, automation, code analysis, and generation of project deliverables.
- Set development standards, ensure code quality and performance, and make technical decisions.
- Translate business and technical requirements into AI and data solutions while collaborating with stakeholders.
- Mentor team members and explain complex technical logic clearly to multidisciplinary audiences.
Requirements
- At least 12 years of experience is required, including strong experience with Python.
- 15 years of full-time education is required.
- Strong experience with agentic AI, generative AI, or LLM-based solutions.
- Hands-on understanding of RAG, prompt engineering, tool calling, agent orchestration, AI evaluation, guardrails, and observability.
- Experience with data migration, ETL, data mapping, data engineering, or solution architecture.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, T-SQL, software architecture, design patterns, code quality, scalability, and performance optimization.
- Experience reading legacy and undocumented codebases and working with SQL Server, ETL concepts, and data-warehouse patterns.
- Experience with at least one legacy technology such as Oracle, Netezza, or SAS is required for the reverse engineering work.
- Ability to lead teams, manage stakeholders, mentor team members, and collaborate across disciplines.
- Preferred experience includes LangGraph, LangChain, Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, pandas, XML parsing, prompt engineering over code, RAG over code, and diff or regression harnesses.
