Base Salary
$120k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain backend services, APIs, and cloud-native applications for satellite operations workflows.
- Develop mission-specific software for U.S. government customers while contributing to Quindar’s core product platform.
- Design, integrate, and troubleshoot services using AWS technologies.
- Work across backend and frontend systems, integrating with React, TypeScript, and GraphQL.
- Improve the scalability, security, cost efficiency, reliability, and performance of software.
- Build and support containerized and serverless architectures using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to understand requirements and deliver new capabilities.
- Troubleshoot production issues and improve system maintainability and observability.
- Automate development, deployment, and operational workflows.
Requirements
- Active Secret clearance.
- 4+ years of professional experience in backend development or full-stack engineering.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Strong proficiency with Python and experience building production backend services.
- Experience with AWS services and cloud-native development patterns.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with JavaScript or TypeScript and experience integrating with frontend engineers.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Strong technical analysis, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage projects with minimal guidance.
