Base Salary
$120k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain backend services, APIs, and cloud-native applications for satellite operations workflows.
- Develop mission-specific software for U.S. government customers and contribute to Quindar’s core product platform.
- Design, integrate, and troubleshoot AWS-based services and distributed application architectures.
- Develop across backend and frontend systems using technologies including React, TypeScript, GraphQL, and modern application frameworks.
- Improve software scalability, security, cost efficiency, reliability, performance, maintainability, resilience, and observability.
- Build and support containerized and serverless architectures using Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with satellite operators, customers, product managers, frontend engineers, backend engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Troubleshoot production issues, analyze system behavior, and automate development, deployment, and operational workflows.
Requirements
- Active Secret clearance is required; TS/SCI is preferred.
- At least 4 years of professional experience in backend development, full-stack engineering, DevOps, or a related software engineering role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong proficiency with Python and experience building production backend services.
- Experience with APIs, distributed systems, relational and NoSQL databases, caching systems, event-driven systems, and multi-tier architectures.
- Experience with AWS services and cloud-native development patterns.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, containerized applications, and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Familiarity with JavaScript or TypeScript and experience developing full-stack or frontend software or integrating closely with frontend engineers.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git, GitHub, or GitLab.
- Strong technical analysis, debugging, troubleshooting, communication, and independent execution skills.
- Experience with React components in TypeScript, Next.js, Refine, Vite, Kubernetes, AWS services, CI/CD pipelines, or GitHub Actions is preferred.
- Experience in satellite operations, aerospace, defense, or government software and demonstrated technical ownership are preferred.
