Responsibilities

  • Lead high-level and low-level design, parameter definition, and test-plan creation for Kubernetes and KVM/OpenStack platforms.
  • Design, integrate, troubleshoot, benchmark, and optimize high-performance container networking and data planes for 5G Core and edge environments.
  • Own the complete Plan, Design, Implement delivery lifecycle, including requirement scoping, detailed design, configuration manifests, staging, field implementation, cutover, and risk mitigation.
  • Tune Linux kernels and data planes to meet carrier-grade throughput, latency, and reliability requirements.
  • Collaborate with global architecture and engineering teams to resolve product roadblocks and create reusable technical templates and design collateral.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience designing, deploying, and operating Kubernetes/Docker container platforms or KVM/OpenStack virtualization environments.
  • Deep knowledge of Linux internals, RHEL or Ubuntu, kernel tuning, system administration, and container network troubleshooting.
  • Practical experience with CNDP, DPDK, SR-IOV, eBPF, or other accelerated packet-processing technologies.
  • Experience delivering PDI projects and authoring detailed designs, runbooks, and test-verification procedures.
  • Native or business-level Japanese fluency and professional working English proficiency.
  • Preferred: experience with 5G Core components such as UPF or SMF, vEPC, or Telco CNFs.
  • Preferred: CKA, CKAD, RHCA, or RHCE certification.
  • Preferred: Python, Bash, Ansible, Terraform, GitOps, GitLab, Jenkins, Cisco UCS, Nexus, or Cisco Telco Cloud experience.
