Responsibilities
- Architect and maintain automated schema migration infrastructure for MySQL and TiDB.
- Implement versioning, rollback, validation, and auditing for safe and predictable migrations.
- Scale schema and data operations across thousands of global databases with high reliability and zero downtime.
- Improve observability, resilience, recovery, and deployment validation through automation and test harnesses.
- Design developer-friendly tools and APIs and integrate migration workflows into CI/CD pipelines.
- Build safe, monitored, retryable, minimally disruptive automation for backfills and data purging.
- Protect data integrity during large-scale schema and data changes.
Requirements
- 12+ years of professional experience in backend systems or platform engineering.
- Experience building platforms, infrastructure, or database engineering systems, especially with MySQL and TiDB.
- Track record of building and scaling mission-critical platforms for high-throughput global services.
- Experience with schema migration frameworks, CI/CD automation, and developer tooling.
- Demonstrated focus on clear, reliable, and user-friendly developer experiences.
