Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to develop tools and software solutions supporting implantable cardiac device development.
- Contribute to embedded firmware design and implementation for Active Implantable Systems technologies.
- Develop and maintain software using C++, C#, and Python for diagnostics, monitoring, and treatment workflows.
- Identify and solve technical challenges involving device functionality, data flow, and system integration.
- Support innovation efforts advancing Active Implantable Systems therapies.
- Ensure engineering solutions align with clinical needs, regulatory standards, and patient safety requirements.
- Participate in Agile development processes.
Requirements
- Be a current rising junior or rising senior with a graduation date between December 2027 and May 2029.
- Be working toward a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering with software skills.
- Be available to start the internship on May 17 or May 24, 2027, and work for 12 weeks.
- Have experience with Python, C++, and C#.
- Have experience with embedded firmware through school or work projects.
- Be familiar with Agile methodologies.
- Be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization.
- Have reliable transportation to and from the Boston Scientific location in Arden Hills, Minnesota.
- Medical industry experience is preferred.
- Effective communication with diverse, cross-functional teams and a willingness to learn new technologies are preferred.
