Responsibilities
- Design, build, deploy, and operate scalable, low-latency backend services for personalized member experiences.
- Improve the performance, reliability, and cost efficiency of systems handling very high request volumes.
- Partner with product, design, and science teams to launch and evaluate onboarding experiments across multiple countries.
- Write well-tested, maintainable code and participate in design and code reviews.
- Own the operational health of services and develop durable solutions to ambiguous problems.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience programming in at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: at least 3 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
